The Intermediary Relending Program (IRP) is a lending program funded by USDA Rural Development. It is especially intended to help small business start-ups and expansions, providing jobs and economic stability to the region.
NVDA makes these loans available to local businesses. The revolving feature enables lending capital to be constantly refreshed by paybacks; the refreshed capital is then made available to new applicants.
The Regional Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) is an older, smaller and more locally-controlled program. It is designed for smaller loans to clients whose proposals don’t fit well into other programs.
