Hardwick Industrial Park
Work is underway for the construction of Vermont Food Venture Center 2 (VFVC2) in the Hardwick Industrial Park. As a shared-use kitchen incubator for specialty food producers, this 14,754 square foot facility will incorporate the most popular processing and technical assistance services available, all designed to capitalize on the synergy of the rapidly expanding food and agricultural processing industries.
In addition to an artisanal cheese producing facility, VFVC2 will include a meat processing facility, wet pack room for jarring and canning, dry room for baked goods and dry mixes, dry storage, refrigeration and freezer space, and office, conference and locker rooms. It is anticipated that VFVC2 will create 16 new full-time equivalent jobs.
Vermont Food Venture Center 2 is funded in part by a $1.5 million Economic Development Administration (EDA) Grant. This grant is supported by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).

I hereby certify for Northern Enterprises, Inc. that the above described ARRA investment has received the full review and vetting required by law and that as the authorized representative for Northern Enterprises, Inc., accepts responsibility that the investment for the Vermont Food Venture Center 2 is an appropriate use of taxpayer dollars.
