Powers Park Development Plan
The Town of Lyndon has identified the need to improve the interconnectivity of walking
paths and trails. This includes the potential of linking Powers Park into the growing trail
network consisting of Paths Around Lyndon, Sanborn Covered Bridge Riverfront Park,
Passumpsic River Paddlers Trail, and Kingdom Trails Association networks. Final plans will
also include recommendations on how to best connect Powers Park with the Town’s trail

EPA Brownfield Grant Implementation & Application Assistance
The Northeastern Vermont Development Associaton (NVDA) through this Request for Proposals (RFP), is seeking a qualified environmental consultng and/or planning firm(s) to provide assistance with: (a) implementaton of environmental assessment, remedial planning, community outreach, and other environmental or planning components of grants for which funding has been secured*. The inital focus for the contract will be implementng a U.S. EPA assessment grant ($1M) and a U.S. EPA Revolving Loan Fund grant ($1M) for NVDA that was announced on May 25, 2023 as part of the U.S. EPA's annual Brownfields Grant Competion; and (b), securing future U.S. Environmental Protecton Agency (U.S. EPA) and potentally other federal or state grants for the assessment, cleanup, or redevelopment of brownfields propertes within Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans Countes of VT over a five-year period ending September 30, 2028. This solicitaton is being issued in part to comply with Federal procurement standards outlined in CFR §200.317-326 that are applicable to hiring of Architectural and Engineering Service firms to assist communites with grants awarded by the U.S. EPA, provided a fair and reasonable compensaton is negotated. *Although a qualified environmental consultng firm was selected in October 2022 by the NVDA following an inital RFP process, NVDA and project partners have decided to re-open the RFP process due to the loss of key project team members from the previously selected consultant. >>
